Bobby Ellis Memorial Vigil to End Hunger

Annual candlelight walk and vigil

On Thanksgiving Eve, 1969, 9-year-old Bobby Ellis died of hunger in Louisville. His death sparked outrage that this could happen in our community, and the anti-hunger movement was born.  This event honors Bobby Ellis by continuing to raise awareness of hunger, and features a candlelight walk and vigil at the site where Bobby lived.
