Who Will We Become? Focusing our Moral Imagination on a post Covid-19 Louisville.
Who Do We Want to Become?
The COVID-19 crisis has presented us with a singular opportunity to reimagine and recreate our lives and communities. In our pre-corona existence, we normalized greed, inequity, exhaustion, depletion, extraction, disconnection, division, hoarding, and hate. We should not long to return to this normal. We are being given the opportunity to create a new normal – one centered on humanity, equity, nature, and love. Let’s embrace it!
The best way to overcome the negative forces of “normality” is to cultivate our capacity to listen to the future that wants to emerge and to take responsibility for our unique part in making this future a reality.
To this end, over the next month you are invited to use these questions for both personal reflection and collective conversations in your homes, classes, houses of worship, and organizations around four essential questions. An essential element to larger systems change will be our collective harvest of what is emerging in our different conversations. Our fist of many public conversations will begin on Monday, May 11th.
Weekly on Wednesday - 3:00-4:00 PM
IPP is excited to launch Yoga Wednesdays which creates a space for breath and movement, for centering and peace. We are partnering with Louisville-area Yoga studios and teachers to highlight some of the best spiritual practices...
Disclaimer: Yoga provides great benefits, but only you know your own body and limits. Like any exercise, please consult your healthcare professional with any questions or concerns before starting any exercise program. Interfaith Paths to Peace and the practitioners associated with IPP Online Yoga Wednesdays assume no responsibility for injuries suffered while practicing these techniques.
Weekly on Sunday - 7:00 PM
While we are physical distancing, we must be intentional to not isolate into enclaves of cultural or ideological similarity. Instead, we can utilize this time to bridge our differences over dinner and conversation.
Interfaith Paths to Peace, The Big Table, and the Office For Globalization - Louisville Metro Government are teaming up to host Online Big Table Dinners. Imagine a dinner party with Louisvillians from all walks of life… and you don’t have to clean your house!
Please join us on Sunday evenings at 7:00 Big Table Dinners. We hope to offer Online Big Table Dinners not only during our quarantine but beyond. Our dream is to invite people from all over the world for a virtual meal together! It’s simple...fix dinner, set up your computer or smartphone, log in and then join local and international friends in dinner conversation.
Sign up with this link, and we will email you the Zoom info on Sunday.
All online events, except the Virtual Big Table Dinners, will be conducted through our Zoom Video Conferencing Platform to allow participants to have real connection and conversation.
