FOOD JUSTICE IN LOUISVILLE
Advocates will make the case for investing American Rescue Plan funds in a more equitable and resilient local food system. Community stakeholders who run food businesses and nonprofits, who produce food, and those who seek a healthier, equitable system will present the kind of food system we the people need -– one that provides everyone with access to affordable healthy food, to better health outcomes, to good paying jobs, and to build wealth in neglected communities. Metro Council members and representatives of Metro government’s Accelerator Team will be invited to respond. Mayoral candidates will be invited to participate and provide their input.
