The Hunger Walk is presented by Kroger and organized by Dare to Care and Interfaith Paths to Peace. Each year during the Hunger Walk over 2,000 people make a public commitment that everyone in our community will have access to the food they need to be healthy.

On Thanksgiving eve, 1969, 9-year-old Bobby Ellis died of hunger in his home in Louisville. This tragedy rocked the community. Leaders from the faith communities united to launch an anti-hunger movement. This energy created Dare to Care Food Bank. Each year, leaders from different faiths gather to kick-off The Hunger Walk. This video is the 2019 Hunger Walk Faith Leader Press Conference.
